Quality is an important aspect in the pharmaceutical industry and the quality of the pharmaceutical product can never be compromised. In order to ensure the quality of drugs manufactured, a dedicated department of Quality Control (QC) works round the clock to verify the product quality at every step of manufacturing.

It includes every stage of pharmaceutical production starting with the quality of raw materials used until the final product is released. It also ensures the quality of the packaging used. These entire operations of QC are independent of the production department and are governed by the principles of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
